Quickstart

Get a key, fund your wallet and make your first request in a couple of minutes.

1. Get an API key

Sign in at app.roteo.ai, open Keys and create a key. It starts with sk_ and is shown only once, so copy it somewhere safe. See Authentication.

2. Fund your wallet

Each request is paid from your own wallet, so add funds before the first one: USDC on Base, Arbitrum or Solana, or USDG on Robinhood. See Pay-per-call billing.

3. Send a request

Set your key as ROTEO_API_KEY and call the Chat Completions API with any OpenAI-compatible client. gpt-6.1-sol is a good default; the Models page lists the rest.

To stream the answer as it is generated, add "stream": true; the events match the OpenAI Chat Completions API. Using Claude Code? See Claude Code.
